Our History and Mission

Our Beginnings:

The Congregation of Blackburn Road Church began in March of 1988. A few months later, in April of 1988, the property on Blackburn Road was purchased and the construction of our present day worship and education facilities was completed.

Our mission is fourfold:

(1) To help you Know God,

(2) To help you Connect with a Community of Believers,

(3) To help you Discover your Created Purpose, and

(4) To help you Make a Difference in this world.

We refer to this as Believe, Belong, Become, and Build.

Small Groups

We believe life change happens in the context of relationships. Small Groups have one simple purpose and that is to bring people together.

God created us to live in community with others and it is only then that we can experience the full life He intends for us.

Small Groups meet at various times and locations during the week. These groups change each semester and are an excellent way to build relationships with others as well as with God.

Church Service

Our Sunday Morning Worship Service begins at 10:00am and incorporates a blended style of traditional and contemporary worship.

The message given by our Pastor focuses on presenting biblical truth with life application in a way that is life-giving and encouraging.

We invite you to come as you are and join us this week in worship. We would love for you to become part of our family.

What to Expect

We know that visiting a place for the first time brings questions, and not knowing what to expect can be a bit stressful.

God's plan for your life

BELIEVE – God created you to know Him by having a personal relationship with Him through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.

BELONG – God created you to walk in freedom and experience the abundant life that Jesus offers to each of us, and to do so with a community of other believers.

BECOME – God created you to fulfill a unique purpose in life. He has gifted you with a personality and spiritual gifts to use to fulfill your purpose.

BUILD – God created you to make a difference in this world, to live a life of significance and relevance, through serving Him and serving others.

Scriptures of faith

John 3:16-17 (ESV) = “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him".

John 10:9-10 (NLT) = "Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life".

Ephesians 2:8-10 (HCSB) = "For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift—not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them".

Romans 10:13 (ESV) = "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved".
